It is with great enthusiasm that the YMCA of Brisbane provides Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) to Brighton State School. Our service offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings. This helps encourage a sense of community amongst the children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows your child to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.
YMCA OSHC activities and plans are aligned with the YMCA mission – to provide opportunities for children to grow in body, mind and spirit – underpinned by our values of honesty,
caring, respect and responsibility. We blend this philosophy with the National Quality Framework ‘My Time
Our Place’ and Brighton State School’s educational principles to develop
appropriate, engaging and most of all fun activities for your child whilst in our care.
YMCA Brighton OSHC operates from 6.30am to 8.40am and 2.40pm to 6pm Monday to Friday.
YMCA also offers onsite vacation care to the Brighton community. Holiday Club operates from 6.30am to 6pm during the school holidays. Detailed information about Holiday Club activities and associated procedures will be distributed to families leading up to the holiday period.
Parents/Guardians are required to complete an enrolment and booking form before any child is able to attend YMCA Brighton OSHC. A meeting with the Coordinator is
offered to all families upon enrolment, this is an excellent opportunity to discuss any concerns and assist in making your child's time with us enjoyable. All enrolling families will receive an Information Package that includes additional information and relevant forms.
We look forward to meeting you at the YMCA.
